ABOUT NORTHWEST SUPERNATURAL PART 1
Northwest Supernatural is a special way of looking at things – life, animals, nature, and each other. It is about valuing nature for itself, about valuing each other as potential allies and friends. It is about seeing sacred stirit in everything and animating it through artistic stylization. It is the cosmic story behind reality as we see it. It is the sense of well being that comes from engaging in a Happiness way of Being. Interpersonal shamanism comes into play as we each have to ignite our inner shaman persona for the well being of all. We have to write our own script with all this in mind, yet without knowing just what we are going to be dealing with at any point. Just facing uncertainty and dealing creatively with it is a shamanic act of personal power.
Animals and their greater spirits are of utmost importance in the Northwest Supernatural mystic realm. They are a spirit connection to the Great Spirit – represented by Raven in the spiritual thinking of Northwest Native Peoples. Here the Animal Council meets to determine nature’s strategy in the face of external threats. Animal Spirit Helpers and Guides are accessed through imagining natures elements as actual mystic beings. Reality is seen as a waking shamanic journey revealing everything as spirit. Value is in the spiritual aspects of art combined with the art of creating happiness.
